A WOODLAND WALK AROUND POLESDEN LACEY
Details
Join SABRE walk leader Clair for a woodland walk around Polesden Lacey.
Starting from Polesden Lacey we head to Ranmore Common. Following a short stretch on the North Downs Way to (hopefully) admire the extensive views we head back to Polesden Lacey via a different route along woodland tracks.
We will walk at a leisurely to moderate pace. This is a mainly flat walk on good paths and woodland tracks. There is a gentle climb to Ranmore Common and then another one on the way back to Polesdon Lacey. It will almost certainly be muddy so do wear good footwear.
Meet in front of the entrance to the courtyard at Polesden Lacey by the cafe entrance. The car park gets very busy so do allow plenty of time to park, get a ticket and be ready to start walking at 1pm. The parking costs £4 per day. It is free for National Trust members. We will have tea and cakes in the cafe after the walk. No dogs please.
If you have not joined us yet, why not come and enjoy up to 3 walks after which you will be asked to consider becoming a SABRE Rambler member. As a member you would enjoy the full benefits of Rambler membership including access to nearly 500 other walking groups nationally, group walking holidays and discounts to outdoor wear and equipment. Find out more at https://www.sabre-walkers.org.uk or contact our membership secretary - membership@sabre-walkers.org.uk who will be pleased to help you.
