Hartley Wintney and Bramshill Forest (5.5 miles)

Details

We walk through Woodlands and Common Close to Hartley Witney. A short steep climb onto Bramshill plateau is rewarded with views. Some undulations. The route uses part of the Three Castles Path. We walk along the River Hart and over a Ford.
Some of the paths are overgrown and can be muddy after rain. Recommend long trousers. Watch out for tree roots. There are horses in paddocks and bridleways. The path leading to the Ford is uneven. Some minor road walking.

Further details can be found on the Surrey Heath Ramblers program page https://www.ramblers.org.uk/find-a-walk.aspx?layer=walks&tab=walks&group=SR15

This walk is also advertised on the Surrey Heath Ramblers web site (www.surreyheathramblers.org.uk) so there will be more walkers attending than is shown on Meetup. Typically we walk with between 15 and 25 people.
Our walks start promptly and it is recommended that you arrive 15 minutes early to get booted ready for the walk.
If you are unable to attend please remove yourself from the event and text the walk leader so that they are aware that you won't be attending.
As a non member of Ramblers you can attend 3 walks to try us out, after that you are required to join the Ramblers to continue walking with us.
This walk will be led by Alexis who can be contacted on 07876 195911.
