Hartley Wintney Countryside (7.0 miles)

We walk past St John’s church and war memorial through to Church Lane and up to St Mary’s church, on to Taplin’s Lane. Some road walking to Winchfield Station. Some steep steps up and down and on to ‘Brenda Parker Way’.

We cross the A30 through meadows (could be cows) to West Green Common and woodland. We pass some ponds, over a footbridge and on through fields, some road walking and back to the village.

Undulating walk with tree roots, 5 stiles (some broken), steep descent onto the road. Some road walking and steep steps. Please wear walking boots or shoes.

This walk is also advertised on the Surrey Heath Ramblers web site (www.surreyheathramblers.org.uk) so there will be more walkers attending than is shown on Meetup. Typically we walk with between 15 and 25 people.
Our walks start promptly and it is recommended that you arrive 15 minutes early to get booted ready for the walk.
If you are unable to attend please remove yourself from the event and text the walk leader so that they are aware that you won't be attending.
As a non member of Ramblers you can attend 3 walks to try us out, after that you are required to join the Ramblers to continue walking with us.
