Welcome to the Surrey Techies – a group to unwind with!
If you want to make new connections and friendships, you’re in the right place! This group is for tech professionals in Redhill, Reigate and surrounding areas in East Surrey and SE London who are looking to connect, destress, and have a laugh.
If this sounds like your thing, please join the group. If/when there’s enough interest in this group, we’ll arrange chilled-out local meetups like coffee catch-ups, quiz nights, bowling, or comedy shows!
This is a friendly, inclusive space for anyone who works in a tech-related field and is looking for like-minded people to take a break from the corporate grind. 😊

503: Stress Unavailable - A short & leisurely walk around Holmethorpe Lagoons

- ⏰ Timing? Meet at 17.30
Join us for a gentle walk around Holmethorpe Lagoons Nature Reserve where we will try to forget the stresses of the week by enjoying nature and looking for wildlife... 😎
This is a short walk (around 1.2 km in length) where we will walk around one of the lakes. This walk usually takes no longer than 30 mins - although we will take a leisurely pace and stop at viewing points to take in the scenery and look for birds, including Kestrels and Red Kites.
Feel free to use apps like Merlin Bird ID to identify bird songs, or do it old school and bring your binoculars!
This is a great opportunity for tech professionals based in Surrey to meet new people, stretch their legs, and relax before starting the weekend.
Attendees will be contacted via Meetup the day before with details on how to find each other and contact the group on the day 👍

- There is the Holmesdale Avenue bus stop (route 435) which is a 1 min walk away from where we are meeting - see Metrobus timetable here.
