We are starting to roll out the walkr leader training sessions to empower the future generation of walk leaders. whether you are a complete novice or a sesoned pro this course is for you!!
This is going to be a very proactive and active course where we learn the art of walk leader out in the field as who loves death by powerpoint!
Thigs that will be covered include
How to read an OS map
Navigating and finding key features on a map
Group safety
What do do in an emergency
Best ways to adapt to changing settings and situations.
We will also cover how tofill in a form on the website to hopefully lead you to putting a walk on the SYW calendar
This might all seem daunting but we will take it at a slow and comfotable pace and at the end will let you guys create a small route of your choosing as a group and will navigate back to the start. this is not a test and hiccups are more than welcome!
