Guildford Shere Ice cream walk (13 miles, Circular)

Join us for a circular walk through Historic Guildford. We will be going past Guildford castle grounds, ascent onto Pewley hill, and continuing to the hilltop church of St Martha’s where we will eventually reach the picturesque town of Shere for lunch and ice cream!
After lunch, we will be visiting a 12th century church and the shere museum (free entry) where we will learn more about the history of the lives of the people who inhabited the shere parish.
From then onwards, our path goes through Hurtwood and Blackheath forests and past the Chilworth gunpowder works, before circling back to Guildford. We will then go for a well-deserved drink at the pub.
If you’re into meeting fun people, exploring the green and getting some sun - this is the walk for you!
