"Before the halving": The state of Bitcoin, Ethereum and other cryptos

We are delighted to be back with a special edition of SurreyDevs dedicated to the current state of Bitcoin, Ethereum and other cryptocurrencies.

It's an incredibly exciting time for cryptocurrencies.

Bitcoin has hit all-time highs. In the last eight weeks, tens of billions of US$ have flowed into newly launched exchange traded funds (ETFs) run by large US-based banks, after they were given the green light by the US's SEC. There are plans for similar ETF funds in the UK. And then there is the halving of Bitcoin's supply which is due next month.

Ethereum is finalising a significant technical upgrade, called Dencun, which will change how transactions can be done on the Ethereum blockchain and will dramatically lower costs.
