To The NC500 and back

Details

Hello everyone,
SMR is excited to announce a 7-day event to complete the North Coast 500 (NC500) route around the northern tip of Scotland. This event is Progress Focused. To be eligible for this route, you must have ridden multiple Progress Focused rides with me or one of the Ride Leaders to be eligible.

The final dates are to be confirmed once numbers are in and hotels can be found

Spaces will be limited for two reasons: accommodation and ensuring we keep a good pace.
The start point will be Beaconsfield Services on the M40 – don’t worry, we won't be doing a lot of motorways just the ones to get us up north
Duration
7 days but final dates will be confirmed when numbers are in
Maximum number of people
10-12
Start Point
Beaconsfield Services M40
End Point
Beaconsfield Services M40
Total number of miles (approx.)
From Beaconsfield return about 1600 miles
Daily Fuel Stops
I anticipate stopping every 80-100 miles.
Accommodation
We will look at either hotels or Air BnB. Once we have the numbers and we have researched the route fully we will share the anticipated costs.
Draft Itinerary
The first evening will be spent at Northumberland National Park, three days and four nights exploring the NC500 route, with a final ride on the sixth day.
While we're still finalising the specifics, you can anticipate covering 200-300 miles daily. We'll make stops at local tourist attractions to take in the breathtaking views and offer everyone a chance to recharge before we continue our journey.
Riding time will typically be from 9:00 am until around 6 pm, but please note that these details will be confirmed closer to the event, and we may have to do more. So be prepared for long days in the saddle. After all, it’s about riding J
So if this is something on your bucket list or you want to see the beautiful north of Scotland and or you fancy a riding holiday please put your name down.
I am going it open the reservation for 4 weeks and at the end of the 4 weeks, the list will be finalised. At this point route, accommodation dates and costs will be shared with all people on the list. (this will be more than can go) At which point you are free to drop out. No reason is needed.
I will then ask people to confirm their intention a week later. You will then be asked for a deposit to secure your place. Once your deposit is paid we will inform you of the payment dates etc. for the rest of the trip.
Refunds and Cancellation
If you cancel the ride for whatever reason the deposit is non-refundable. This is because it will affect the costs everyone has to pay. All these details will be fully confirmed before you pay any money.
