Stonehenge the long way

Please read all the below
This event will be limited to 15 people, based on a first-come-first-served basis. This is not open to 125’s or learners.
We will start our day at the Shell petrol station at Ripley for a rider briefing at 9:55 a.m. We will then take some great A roads and maybe a B or two down to Stonehenge.

Lunch
This will be at Stonehenge, they serve the best pasties

Duration
The ride will take all day. We will meet at 9:30 a.m., have a rider briefing at 9:55 a.m., and be on our bikes by 10:00 a.m. I will be at the BP at 9:30 a.m. for a cuppa; feel free to join me. I will aim to have us back at the starting point around 4:45-5 p.m.

Distance, stopping and fuel
The total miles for the day will be around 160 miles. I shall allow time for a leg stretch and a chat during the day, so we will stop at least once either way, more if people are tired.

Format
The corner marker and tail gunner system will be in use, so please make sure you are aware of how this works. If this is your first ride, don't worry. We will take care of you, and we will explain how the corner marker works. You can see a video here https://youtu.be/IWP1vbuTkNc

You will be able to ride at your own pace, and there will be plenty of opportunities to make good progress. Overtaking is part of bike riding as is filtering
We will be sticking to 20, 30, 40mph in and around villages and make progress on the open sections.

Please message me if you will do a tail gun stint. We will need four in total.

RSVP
I will leave the ride open until 24 hours before we are due to go. At this point, there will be no more changes. Until then, feel free to put your name or take it off; it's no drama. Once the RSVP is closed you will need to message me directly to remove you should you not wish to come.
You do not need to make excuses or tell me anything other than I am not coming, so if you change your mind once the RSVP is closed please do the decent thing and tell me. That way if there are others who wish to attend, I can contact them.
Please note if you do not show up on the day and you have RSVP then you will be marked as a no-show and you are out.

Bike

1. Please arrive with a full tank or fill up at the station and make sure your bike is in good working order.
2. Please make sure you have a breakdown cover.
   Armband
   I have provided armbands in the past, but it costs me a small fortune. Given the size of the group and we need to be able to recognise one and other armbands will be required.

   For those of you who have them, please remember to bring it with you. As a tip, I always leave mine in my jacket. That way I never forget.
