Cheddar gorge

Details
This event will be limited to 20 people.
This is not open to 125's or learners.
Hopefully the weather will be kind to us and give us glorious sunny weather , so lets make the most of it and enjoy the roads.
We will be starting our day at petrol station at Ripley. Then, we will be taking mainly great A-roads, with a few B’s down to the Cheddar gorge .
We will be travelling on fast A-roads so you must be comfortable at maintaining the speed limit for sustained periods of time.
This ride is only open to riders who have ridden with us before. It is a long ride so a reasonable pace will need to be made
Duration
The ride will take all day. We will meet at 9.30. Rider briefing at 9:50 am and on the road by 10 am. That will give us time to say hello. It will take all day and I suspect we will not be back until 6 - 6:30 pm.
Distance, stopping and fuel.
The total miles for the day will be around 300 miles. While It's good to chat the focus of this ride is the roads and the destination. We will stop about every 70-80 mins for a quick leg stretch and a fuel stop for 15 mins.
Format
The corner marker and tail gunner will be in use. If this is your first ride with us, don't worry; we will take care of you and explain how the corner marker works.
You can see a video here https://youtu.be/IWP1vbuTkNc
You will be able to ride at your own pace, and there will be plenty of opportunities for relaxing and making good progress. Overtaking is part of bike riding as is filtering (not sure we will do much filtering due to the route). It's supposed to be fun lol.
We will be sticking to 20, 30, 40mph in and around villages and make progress on the open sections.
Please message me if you will do a tail gun stint. We will need four in total
RSVP
We will leave the ride open until 48 hours before we go. At which point there will be no more changes. Until then, feel free to put your name down or take it off; it's no drama. Once the RSVP is closed, you will need to message us directly to remove yourself should you not wish to come.
You do not need to make excuses or tell us anything other than I am not coming, so if you change your mind once the RSVP is closed, please do the decent thing, and tell us. That way, if others wish to attend, we can contact them to fill your space.
