Details

Come and join us for a foraging walk in and around our lovely Sussex woodland. We will show you interesting edible, and easily mistaken harmful plants, talk about some medicinal uses and share some folklore. The aim is to pick and taste these plants which can be used in salads, for green teas or as wild ingredients as part of other dishes, with the aim that you will be able to add to your home menu should you so wish. Prior plant knowledge is not necessary. This session will look at the identification and uses of some of the more common and easily recognisable trees and plants in season at this time of year NB This course will not cover foraging for mushrooms. We will also cover foraging law and good practice. This course will be led by Phil. Phil is a qualified bushcraft instructor and holds a level 4 qualification in Ethnobotany Our camp is set up for bushcraft events which includes a composting toilet. We also have plenty of hand sanitiser and hand washing stations. This session will take place in and around our 21 acre dedicated site near Horsham.
