6:00pm Talk 1 - Sustainable Practices in Tech and Software, by Michael Zajer, Principal, V2 Digital

Join me for a discussion on Sustainable Practices in Tech and Software! Did you know that Cloud Computing (Including private & public data centres) alone contributes to approximately 2.5% of global greenhouse gas emissions? The software and services we create have a significant impact on carbon emissions. Discover how you can make a positive difference and become part of the solution. Explore the connection between your work and climate change - Every job is a Climate Change Job

6:30pm Talk 2 - Sustainability: The New Imperative for IT, by Carl Soder, CTO Cisco (ANZ)

The Australian government signed up to the Paris Agreement and has set a target of 2050 to achieve NetZero for the country. That means each and every one of you has a job to do to help your company achieve its own NetZero targets. This session will explore some of the engineering efforts behind building more sustainable and eco-friendly technology as well as how technology is being used by global customers to advance their own NetZero efforts.
