🌳 Planting for a Purpose: Join us as we come together to maintain a Mini Food Forest, garden, and trails that will not only enhance the beauty of the Riverside Neighborhood Community Garden, but also provide a free source of fresh, local produce for the community.

🌻No Experience Needed: Bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to get your hands dirty! Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. There is a playground connected to the property for younger children to enjoy. Whether you're an experienced gardener or a first-time planter, this is a fantastic opportunity to learn, connect, and make a lasting impact on the community.

What to Bring:
We will provide all tools and gardening gloves. Bring your own gloves if you have any. This event is outdoors, so:

• Bring bug spray and sunscreen
• Bring refillable water bottles
• Wear closed-toed shoes
• Wear pants/long sleeves to minimize bug/poison ivy exposure

🌎 World Cleanup Day: River & Trail Restoration at Fair Oaks Park

Join My Green Earth and Georgia Interfaith Power & Light (GIPL) as we celebrate World Cleanup Day with a hands-on volunteer event at Fair Oaks Park! Together, we’ll help restore the health and beauty of our local ecosystem by:

• Removing invasive plant species to make room for native plants and wildlife
• Building community through shared action for our environment

Your time and effort will directly improve water quality, enhance wildlife habitat, and create a more beautiful, welcoming space for all to enjoy.

What to Bring:
We will provide all tools and gardening gloves, but bring your own gloves if you have any. This event is outdoors, so:

🌳 Planting for a Purpose: Together, we will build trails and remove invasive plant species to make way for a diverse and thriving ecosystem of fruit trees, edible plants, and pollinator-friendly vegetation. Our efforts will not only enhance the beauty of the area, but also provide an inviting space for the community to enjoy nature while providing a free source of fresh, local produce.

🌻No Experience Needed: Bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to get your hands dirty! Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. There will be kid-friendly volunteer activities. Whether you're an avid environmentalist or this is your first time working with environmental restoration, this is a fantastic opportunity to learn, connect, and make a lasting impact on the community.

🌿What to Bring: We will provide all tools. If you have gardening gloves, please bring them but if not, we will provide gloves for you to use! Please bring a refillable water bottle for hydration, sunscreen, closed-toe shoes, and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Long sleeves and pants will help reduce potential poison ivy exposure.
