Fantastic Green Get-Together!

Details
Dear tree-huggers, composters, local food eaters, green building advocates, renewable energy nerds, meditation practitioners, outdoor lovers, People's Co-op shoppers, recyclers, and sustainable development advocates,
2007 was an incredible year for our group. We started from 0 members in March and grew to over 200! As you all know, we had many exciting events including a green building tour, many workshops and lectures, a tour of the community gardens in San Diego, films, festivals, farm visits, a wind farm tour, a solar potluck, and much more.
Thanks to everyone for being a member of the group and for showing up to the events when you could. Life is short, and choosing to learn and participate in things that improve ourselves and benefit others is so important. We look forward to many more exciting events in 2008 and are always open to ideas.
To celebrate our success, build new shoots, and strengthen our roots, we will be hosting a community potluck in Balboa park on March 8th at Noon.
This event is in conjunction with the Alternative Energy, Community Farms and Gardens Meetup groups, the Solar Cooking Club, and Food Not Lawns.
When: Saturday, March 8 at Noon
Where: Balboa Park, On lawn near intersection of Presidents Way & Pan American Plaza (https://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&geocode=&saddr=&daddr=32.7284,-117.152731&mra=mi&mrsp=0&sz=19&sll=32.728517,-117.152675&sspn=0.000988,0.001824&ie=UTF8&t=h&z=19) near the International Cottages and Balboa Park Club
What: Bring a tasty dish to share, meet lots of interesting folks, do some solar cooking (if you have one), and eat tasty food as we enjoy the perfect spring weather. If you plan on solar cooking you may want to arrive a couple hours earlier.
This is mainly a social event so don't miss your chance to meet lots of interesting people and also so feel free to bring friends and family along for the fun.
Balboa Park Club is just past the Organ Pavillion on the way to the Recital hall. Just type in Balboa Park Club into google maps to see where it is.
Please bring your own eating utensils to help make this a zero waste event.
Hope to see you there!
