Style Stories : The Courage of Color
Details
Create your mid-week sanctuary with us!
As autumn deepens around us, we're naturally drawn to richer, more intense colors - but what does it really mean when we choose to wear color instead of staying safe in black, grey, or beige?
Color isn't just aesthetic - it's psychological, emotional, and deeply personal. How does slipping into a deep burgundy, vibrant orange, or bold emerald shift not just how others see us, but how we feel within ourselves?
Why do we often retreat into monochromatic schemes when the days get shorter, when perhaps color is exactly what we need to carry us through the darker months?
As a costume designer, I use color symbolism to define characters and tell stories. But in our own wardrobes, we're telling our own stories - so what happens when we step out of our neutral comfort zone and embrace the courage that color requires?
We'll explore:
• The psychology of color and how it affects our mood and energy. • Why we're drawn to (or avoid) certain colors in different seasons • The symbolism and cultural meanings behind the colors we wear • Getting out of our monochromatic comfort zone • How color can be an act of self-expression and even rebellion • Finding your personal color story in autumn/winter
Bring: Your curiosity and perhaps one colorful piece from your wardrobe that makes you feel something - brave, joyful, powerful... Or share a photo of a color you're drawn to but haven't dared to wear yet.
Thank you for being part of Sustainable Style Collective - where mindful fashion meets meaningful connections.
Looking forward to creating them with you,
Love, Zorana
