Porty Writing Retreat

Join us for a full day of writing at Tribe Porty, a community focused co-working space not far from the promenade in Portobello.

The timetable:

10:00 | Doors open. Find a good spot, grab some coffee / tea and a pastry, and get settled in.
10:15 | Introductions. We'll talk about what we're working on, and gain a little insight into each other's projects and aims.
10:30 | The first session begins, following the Pomodoro Technique with breaks in-between.
12:30 | Lunch time! There are lots of lovely spots by the beach where we could grab some lunch, and even have a swim if you're so inclined
13:30 | The second session begins, once again following the Pomodoro Technique with regular breaks.
16:00 | Wrap up & reflection

There will be unlimited coffee and tea available all day, and fruit and pastries ready for your arrival ☕🥐

I'll be at the venue from 9am onwards, so feel free to arrive early if you'd like to get that little bit more time in. The Portobello Tap is just around the corner from Tribe Porty, and we'll go there for a celebratory drink and to listen to some folk music afterwards 🪕

The profile picture shows the outside area, but the inside is also a lovely space; it holds a well equipped kitchen, spacious desks, comfy seats, free wifi, and an even an emergency pencil sharpener (really!).
