Black Rock Mountain State Park - James E Edmonds Trail ~ 8 miles Strenuous

Details
Let's Take-a-Hike at Black Rock Mountain State Park!
Note that this is an exploratory hike for me. The James E Edmonds Trail is located in Black Rock Mountain State Park just past Clayton, GA. The trail is listed at about 7.5 miles with about 2000 ft of elevation gain making this a hard trail - no beginners please. Our groups pace is about 2.25 to 2.5 mph. Not a sprint but not a crawl either (although I may be crawling up some of the inclines :-)) I figure it will take us about 5 hours with stops to enjoy the views.

We will meet at the Tennessee Rock Loop Trailhead and begin our hike at 9:00am. I have posted a pin below for meeting location. There is a GA State Park so there is a parking fee of $5 unless you have an annual pass. Please make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks. Hiking poles may be helpful.
Hope to see you there, and of course please remember that you will be participating entirely at your own risk as Suwanee Take-a-Hikers assumes absolutely no liability (nada, zero, zilch, zip, jack squat) for adverse events which may occur during meetups.
