Christian Singles Semi-Formal Christmas Dance, Potluck and Board Game Night

Merry Christmas Everyone! (Updated as of 12/11/2025)

Its hard to believe that Christmas is almost here, that 2025 is coming to an end soon, and that 2026 is right around the corner!

Back by popular demand, the Singles Ministry from Family Community Church (FCC) in South San Jose will be hosting their annual "Christian Singles Semi-Formal Christmas Dance, Potluck and Board Game Night" . Thank you FCC, John Lopez (FCC Singles Ministry lay leader) and his volunteer leadership team for putting this event on and for allowing us to be apart of it :-).

This is a potluck event, and there is a cost to attend. There is an early bird discounted price if you purchase your tickets on-line (by using the link below) by Wednesday December 10th 2025 at 12 noon, or you can purchase your ticket at the door (with cash only) at a higher price. Please see below for all of the details. At their last dance (in December 2023), there were over 100 Christian singles from throughout the Bay Area who attended. Praise God!

If you're a Christian single, ready to mingle, and over the age of 40 (all ages are welcome), come on out to the Christian Singles Semi-Formal Christmas Dance, Potluck, and Board Game Night! There is something special about Christmas and being in fellowship with like minded brothers and sisters in Christ! So come dressed in your best to impress and ready to "cut loose and kick off the Sunday shoes" grooving to the fun tunes of the 80's and 90's. Let's dance, dance, dance! It's a great place to have fun, share food, and build Godly relationships that can last a lifetime :-).

We can all come together in a wonderful Christian environment as Christian singles for a night of food, dancing, fellowship, board games and fun! If you love music and/or like to dance, this is definitely an event to consider attending! Don't dance? Two left feet? Don't be scared! A DJ will be spinning up a fine lineup of great dance-able music for your enjoyment!

There also will be a separate area to play board games (please feel free to bring your favorite board game to share with others). So if you are not into dancing or need a short break between your dance moves, there will be a place to have some fun or dive into meaningful conversations!

This is another great opportunity to help buildup and strengthen the community of Bay Area Christian Singles! As we approach Christmas, its a great time to reflect on God's infinite Love for us, the Love we have for one another, and to bring God glory! God has given each one of us the gift of friendship. Lets all come together as brothers and sisters in the Lord and enjoy one another as the Body of Christ! Come with an open heart willing to reach out, connect, and ask others to dance. Since this is a Christian event, it is expected that everyone will treat one another with the upmost respect and honor (Thank you)!

Christian singles from many different Bay Area churches will be attending. This event is open to all Christian singles regardless of which church you regularly attend. You never know, you just might meet a new friend or two!

We are looking forward to seeing you there. Please help us spread the word by inviting your Christian single friends. It is always more fun when we can attend with a group of our friends, so think about reaching out to your friends and organizing a car pool to this event. Remember it can be a nice blessing to someone who would prefer to ride instead of drive!

Cost:

Option A: Before Wednesday December 10th 2025 @ 12 noon. in advance by purchasing your ticket on-line with a valid credit card, The cost will be:

$10 per person (if you bring a side dish to share) or $25 per person (if you don't bring a side dish to share). This is per person and not per couple. This early bird discount ends on Wednesday December 10th 2025 @ 12 noon.

Option B: After December 10th 2025 @ 12:01pm. In advance by purchasing your ticket on-line with a valid credit card or you can pay at the door (cash only)on the day of the event. The cost will be:

$15 per person (if you bring a side dish to share) or $30 per person (if you don't bring a side dish to share). This is per person and not per couple. If you are going to pay at the door, please bring cash (exact change only). They will not be able to accept checks, credit/debit cards, Paypal, Zelle, Venmo, etc to purchase tickets at the door. The reason there are two prices (one if you bring a side dish or if you don't bring a side dish) is to accommodate those that may attend later in the evening (after the food has been served) and it is too late to bring a food item.

Suggested Dress: Semi-formal is suggested and not required. This is a nice occasion, so please come in your Christmas best! Guys dust off your ties and coats, and ladies put on your best to impress!

Please Note: We will be dancing on a carpeted floor. Please feel free to bring an extra change of shoes if you need to.

What to Bring: Cash, an already fully cooked and ready to serve main entree or side dish (enough to share with at least 6 others (maybe one of your favorite recipes that you prepared from scratch....yum or something you purchased at a store or restaurant of your choosing). and the utensils needed to serve it, your nice smile and an open heart to have a great time! Water and beverages will be supplied.

Please be sure to label your dishes and serving utensils with your first and last name so that we will have a better chance in returning them to their rightful owners at the end of the night. Thank you :-)

This is a potluck event where everyone needs to bring a significant item to share. In order for this event to run smoothly and to have enough food for everyone to enjoy, please be sure to bring a significant item to share. No chips and dip, bags of cookies etc. Thank you :-)

Please note that if on the day of the event you are experiencing any symptoms of feeling ill, please be sure to stay home and take care of yourself. You will be missed, but your well being and that of others, is of the utmost concern. Thank you for your understanding :-)

This is an all volunteer family of God event meaning that everyone needs to help pitch in to make this event a success and blessing. It would be great if you could stay after to help clean up and tear down. It would be greatly appreciated by the organizers and will serve as an encouragement to them to organize more events similar to this in the future. Let's be a blessing to the event organizers as a way to say thank you for putting this dance event together for the Bay Area Christian singles community to enjoy.
