Mental Health First Aid is program sponsored by the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. The course is a skills-based training that teaches people how to identify, understand and respond effectively to signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges experienced by adults aged 18+. The course covers:
-Common Signs and Symptoms
-How to interact with a person in crisis
-Expanded content on various types of mental illness, trauma, substance use and self care.

This training is valued at $171 however based on the generous donation from Envision Unlimited, Community Mental Health Center the training is training Free of charge. However a $45 fee is required for the manual, supplies and lunch. Payments can be made on line at https://envisionunlimited.org/mhfa-training. Be sure to select the correct date.
