Description: FUSE has started as a simple way to implement file system-like
tools like sshfs, but has evolved in its two decades of existence into a
powerful high-performance user-land API to the kernel's file system layer.
We'll give an insight into its architecture, basic and advanced mechanisms and
recent developments like the use of OFD locks that are relevant in the
OpenStack context.

Bio: Robert Doebbelin is a Software Engineer at Quobyte, a Software Defined Storage company. Prior to his role at Quobyte he spent several years in research where he was the main author of an in-memory MapReduce framework used for parallel graph search.
