Group kick-off: Trusted Execution Environments in Cloud Infrastructure

Details
• What we'll do
Dear members of the security and privacy group, welcome to the upcoming meetup on April, 12th.
At this meetup event I would like to kick-start the activity in the group as well as brainstorm about future topics and interests. On top of that, I will present some recent results from cloud security research (and practice), in particular on the use of trusted execution environments in cloud computing infrastructure.
Program:
17.15 - 17.30 Arrival
17.30 - 18.30 Presentation
18.30 - 19.00 Discussion, brainstorming and mingle.*
19.10 - End of the meetup, lights off
- Great if someone volunteers to sponsor snacks and beverages!

Presentation abstract:
From bare-metal servers to lambda functions in serverless architecture, cloud computing offers a broad range of execution environments with varying levels of deployment flexibility and control over computation resources. Ongoing migration of valuable data assets to multi-tenant virtualized environments and network softwarization hightlighted the need for additional execution isolation mechanisms.
This encouraged a rapid evolution of and trusted execution environments that promise unprecedented levels of security for data and code in the cloud. Is security finally “solved” for cloud computing?
