“Confidential computing is a fairly new term that covers several technologies allowing to protect data in-process. While until recently most of them were mostly known to researchers and enthusiasts, now are increasingly available and adopted by businesses large and small. This talk is a first introduction to confidential computing, how it works and some of its use cases.”
- The Confidential Computing Consortium: Representing a New Technology - Richard Searle, Fortanix (15-20mins)
"The Linux Foundation Confidential Computing Consortium (https://confidentialcomputing.io/) was founded in 2019 to define and accelerate the adoption of Confidential Computing. This new technology enables the protection of data in use and is now available within public cloud services and OEM hardware. In this presentation, Richard Searle, Customer Solutions Director at Fortanix Inc. and General Member's Representative to the Governing Board of the Confidential Computing Consortium will provide an overview of the Consortium's activities and the potential for this important technology through 2021 and beyond."
