Please join us for our November Romance Book Discussion Club. Location is at my apartment in Dupont. Address and details will be provided to attendees closer to the meeting.

Also, if you've RSVPed and can't come, please update your spot by 6pm the day before so that those on the waitlist have enough time to consider coming, as well. Thanks!

Looking forward to discussing romance books with everyone :)

Results are in! This month we're doing Contemporary Romance as the subgenre and Friends-to-Lovers as the subtrope! As always, you don't have to read a book that falls in both categories. These are just themes to guide our discussion. Feel free to read whatever tickles your pickle. Additionally, the "Best of the Best' theme this month is Best Banter! My fave! Please think through your reading history and think of a book that has the absolute best banter so we can all leave with some great bantery recs.

Admittedly, neither of this month's categories are my reading bread and butter, but I do have a few recommendations to get the conversation started. If you have other recommendations that fit the brief, please put them in the comments below.

  • Blindsided by Amy Daws. Sports romance series. Friends to lovers. Also Keeper, by the same author. Spinoff of the same series.
  • Long Time Coming by Meghan Quinn - Billionaire friends-to-lovers romance. He's her man-of-honor while she's getting married to someone else.
  • Finn Rhodes Forever by Stephanie Archer. interconnected standalones. Childhood bffs that have a falling out and get reunited. Sorta second chance as well as friends-to-lovers.
  • Shardless by Stephanie Fisher. I haven't read this one, but it's a fantasy romance friends-to-lovers slow burn. No spice in the first book, but apparently there is in the second book. Not as common for fantasy books to do childhood friends-to-lovers, so this one might be intriguing to the non-contemporary readers.
