Reverse Legacy Bike Ride & Lunch At Bob's Train Restaurant & Museum. Easy Pace

Details
It's time to do the Bob's Train bike ride again as the McIntosh Rd. parking lot will be closed for maintenance March 26-28. Bob's Train Restaurant along the tracks just north of Fruitville Rd. and the north terminus of the Legacy trail is known for it's historic old railroad cars, it's circus and history memorabilia and it's good food at very reasonable prices. Let's meet in their parking lot, a huge dirt lot by 9:00 AM. We will bike the short distance to the north end of the Legacy trail and follow it south to the Central Sarasota Parkway intersection. It's about 10 miles. Then after a short break we will reverse ourselves and bike back to the parking lot. Total about 20 miles at average 10 mph pace depending on wind direction! Then we will have lunch in 1 of the 4 historic RR cars that make up the restaurant. 1 of the cars was made to order for John and Mabel Ringling back in 1916. We will tour the 4 cars and check out the circus, military and sports memorabilia. The address reads Fruitville road but the physical location is in a parking lot off 3rd street. Take School Ave. north off Fruitville. It turns into 3rd St. The driveway to the parking lot is a right turn off 3rd St.
