Bike Fort de Soto + Picnic on the Beach & Sunset Watching + Strawberry Full Moon

Join us for a special evening at Fort de Soto Park! Keith & Joyce will lead a casual bike ride of about 18 miles r/t. We will also have a picnic at Fort de Soto Beach while sunset watching. On our return, we should be able to catch a glimpse of the Strawberry Full Moon. Make sure you bring your bike lights and a bike lock!

Let's meet on 6th Ave S in Tierra Verde shortly before 05:45 PM, there is plenty of free parking along the road. Please be on time and expect traffic along the way!

05:45 PM: We will ride on a bike trail to East Beach. Distance will be 5.4 miles. Once there, we will enjoy the view of the Skyway Bridge (see event picture above).

06:25 PM: We will continue with our bike ride on a trail to Fort de Soto Beach. Distance will be 5.1 miles. Along the way we will stop at the pier and the Fort for sightseeing.

07:25 PM: We will have a picnic on the beach while sunset watching. Feel free to walk around if you like, the beach is awesome. You might even want to get your feet wet or go for a swim. The sun will set at 08:25 PM.

08:45 PM: We will ride back to the meeting point. Distance will be 7.6 miles. Along the way we should be able to catch a glimpse of the Strawberry Full Moon. It will rise at 09:11 PM. We should be back by around 09:30 to 09:45 PM.

Please don't forget your bike lights, bike locks, a picnic and sun protection.
