**Let's meet at Payne Park close to the restrooms**. There will be plenty of free parking at the garage on 2150 Ringling Blvd.

**Kick-off** will be at **08:00 AM** sharp. Please be on time.

Our **casual bike ride** will take us through parts of Laurel Park, Hudson Bayou, Harbor Acres, Bayview, Cherokee Park, San Remo, Oyster Bay and the area around Phillippi Creek where we stop at the Main Colony Historic District.

We will end up at Red Bug Slough Preserve where we will go for a **short** **hike**. This 72-acre preserve is a remnant piece of natural Florida nestled in the midst of suburban Sarasota.

After our hike we will continue through some neighborhoods until we reach the Legacy Trail that will lead us to Pinecraft with its Amish community.

We will have **breakfast** at [Yoder's Restaurant](https://www.yodersrestaurant.com/about/about/) where we should be able to find plenty of seating this time of the year. We just have to order before 11:15 AM.

After that we will return to the Legacy Trail through parts of Pinecraft and head back to Payne Park.

**Total distance will be around 21 miles at a pace of 10 to 12 mph.**

This will be a social event and no race. Please don't schedule anything right after as the ride and/or the brunch might take longer than expected.

Don't forget to bring a bike lock, plenty of water (ideally with electrolytes), a snack and protect yourself from the sun.
