Scenic Ferry Ride, 3.5 mile Beach Walk on AMI & Breakfast on the Beach

This time we combine a scenic ferry ride with a 3.5 mile beach walk and a breakfast with a view.

Depending on the group size, we might make a group reservation in advance and prepay the ticket. Tickets got a little more expensive in the meantime and are $ 8 roundtrip + fees for folks over 60 years and $ 12 plus fees if you are younger than that. We will let you know in advance how we decide, stay tuned!

07:00 AM: Let's meet in front of The Bishop Museum of Science & Nature located at 201 10th St W in Bradenton.

There is unlimited free parking at the parking garage on the corner of 10th St W & 3rd Ave W (entrance ramp on 10th St W). Parking along the streets is usually limited to 2 hours.
From the museum we will take a short walk along the Riverwalk to the Ferry Pier.

07:30 AM: Ferry departure.
The ferry ride to Bridge Street Pier on Anna Maria Island will take 50 minutes.

08:20 AM: Walk 1.8 miles along the beach
The first part of the walk will be around 1.8 miles long. We will stop at the end of Anna Maria Island at Long Boat Pass.

09:05 AM: Walk 0.5 miles on a shady path
We will return 0.5 miles on a paved and shady trail to Coquina Beach Cafe

09:20 AM: Breakfast at Coquina Beach Cafe
The breakfast with a view of the beach shouldn't take much longer than 1 hour

10:30 AM: Walk 1.3 miles back to Bridge Street Pier

11:30 AM: Departure
The ferry will take 50 minutes back to the Riverwalk in Bradenton.

This will finish our event. It is just a short walk to get back to the parking garage.
