SCOUT OUT: Myakka River State Park - an easy 6 mile hike

Let's get a little adventurous and scout out some ransom trails within the Myakka River State Park to make it an easy 6 mile hike.

This time we will park our cars at Ranch House Rd. just a bit north of our usual spot at Powerline Rd. Volunteers will then shuttle all to a small parking lot just south of Clay Gully where we will start our casual hike.

We will combine sections of several trails to get back to Ranch House Rd.
Once there, we will drive volunteers back to the cars that park at Clay Gully.

Make sure you bring along plenty of water and a snack if you like. Don't forget sunscreen, comfortable hiking shoes and ask for a map at the park ranger station where you pay the entrance fee.

Please arrive early so we can leave on time! The hike might take longer than expected, don't schedule anything right after the event!
