Join our Joint Chief Trailblazer David Hyde for a casual bike ride through Myakka River State Park and enjoy the beautiful Coreopsis (Florida state's official wildflower) that should be in full bloom by then, turning all meadows into bright yellow.

Let's meet at the parking lot on the right next to the main entrance before 08:30 AM. Expect some traffic along the way, please allow sufficient time to get there.

You will mostly ride paved roads, so all types of bikes are fine. Total distance will be about 15 miles. Stops will include the picnic area at Clay Gully, the Birdwalk and the parking lot next to the boat basin.

Although you will get a fair amount of shade, you might want to wear sunscreen and bring along sufficient water. A snack is always a good idea.

This will be a social event and no race. Please don't schedule anything right after.

If you have any questions or need directions you can contact David through Meetup.
