Bike Dunedin to Clearwater Beach (~15 miles r/t) with Lunch

Our dear member David R. will host a casual bike ride from Dunedin to Clearwater Beach. Please give him your full support. Total distance will be about 15 miles r/t, pace ~10 max.
Please remember that Clearwater imposed a new "No e-bikes on boardwalk" rule, so you will have to ride on the road or even better, choose another bike. If that's not an option, you can lock up the bike and walk about 1/4 mile to the lunch spot.
Let's meet in front of the Dunedin History Museum (349 Main Street) shortly before 09:00 AM, so everyone can leave on time.
There is plenty of free parking right next to it.
The ride will lead along the Pinellas Trail to Downtown Clearwater before you take the sidewalk for a short distance. You will then check out the picturesque Coachman Park with "The BayCare Sound" music venue, head up the spiral bridge and take the Memorial Causeway Bike Trail to Clearwater Beach where you will then ride or walk to Opal Sands Resort for lunch.
You will return on a slightly different route that most have not ridden through before, along a qiet, shore line neighborhood (N. Old Clearwater Bay) in Cearwater and Dunedin where we'll have stellar views of Clearwater Bay.
Ice cream in Dunedin at the end of the ride is always an option, Strachan's Ice Cream shop serves the best in the area!
Please keep in mind that the spiral bridge as well as the bridge leading to the beach can be quite challenging (in particular when it is windy). If needed, you might have to walk.
This will be a social event and no race. The bike ride and/or lunch might take longer than expected, please do not schedule anything right after.
Make sure you will check your bike before the ride and protect yourself from the sun. Bring along plenty of water (ideally with electrolytes). A snack is always a good idea.
