Scenic Ferry Ride, Beach Walk & Breakfast with a View

This time we combine a scenic ferry ride with a 1.5 mile beach walk to Coquina Beach Cafe, a breakfast with a view and a scenic walk around Coquina Beach thereafter.

Please book your ferry tickets in advance. Remember that you will get a discount for roundtrip tickets (don't buy one-way tickets!) Tickets are $11 for people ages 18-59, only $7 for seniors ages 60-79 and free for those over 80.

07:10 AM: Let's meet in front of The Bishop Museum of Science & Nature located at 201 10th St W in Bradenton. Please try to be on time, otherwise you will miss the ferry!

There is unlimited FREE parking at the parking garage at the corner of 10th St W & 3rd Ave W (entrance ramp on 10th St W). Parking along the streets is usually limited to 2 hours!

From the museum we will take a short walk along the Riverwalk to the Ferry Pier.

07:30 AM: Ferry departure.
The ferry ride to Bridge Street Pier on Anna Maria Island will take 50 minutes. We usually see dolphins along the way!

08:20 AM: Walk along Bridge Street to the beach and then to Coquina Beach Cafe
The first part of the walk will be around 1.5 miles long.

09:00 AM: Breakfast with a View
We will enjoy a simple but delicious breakfast at the beach with a wonderful view of the ocean. The Cafe will just open at that time, we should be able to get the best seats in the house!

10:00 AM: Walk along Coquina Beach to the most southern end of Anna Maria Island.
This is one of the very picturesque spots on the island. The walk is only about 0.5 miles long.

10:30 AM: Walk back to Bridge Street Pier
We will walk along the paved trail that runs parallel to the beach. This way we will get a fair amount of shade. Maybe we see raccoons along the way? We might still be able to check out some of the stores along Bridge Street.
Ice cream anyone? Distance will be about 1.8 miles.

12:30 AM: Departure from Bridge Street Pier
The ferry will take 50 minutes back to the Riverwalk in Bradenton.

This will finish our event. It is just a short walk back to the parking garage.
