Bike Pompano Trailhead to Barn at the Bay Cafe (18 miles)

The Barn at the Bay Cafe is open again! So you might want to join us for a casual bike ride!
Let's meet at Pompano Trailhead at the Legacy Trail shortly before 07:30 AM (601 S Pompano Ave, Sarasota).
We will ride north on the remainder of the Legacy Trail. Once we hit Ringling Blvd., we will meander through some neighborhoods before we take a short break at Bay Park (best public restrooms in town). From there we will ride through the area around Van Wezel, Centennial Park, Whitaker Gateway Park, Indian Beach and Sapphire Shores.
Our destination for the day will be Barn by the Bay at New College of Florida. This coffee shop is located in a cute little house and has plenty of in- and outdoor seating. Food is limited to pastries, muffins etc. but they offer coffee and other drinks. Feel free to bring your own snacks if you like.
After a lengthy break we will return a slightly different way via Bayfront-, Laurel- and Payne Park.
This event will be a social event and no race. Please don't schedule anything right after, as it might take longer than expected. If you are in a hurry, you will have to ride back on your own.
Please make sure you carry plenty of water, protect yourself from the sun and check your bike BEFORE the ride.
