INTRO TO WEB DEVELOPMENT: FRAMEWORKS AND BASIC CONCEPTS ✨
Have you ever wondered what all these terminologies stand for? Or why there are so many?
Terminologies such as MEAN Stack, Laravel, ASP.NET Core, Django, Springboot, Ruby on Rails...the list goes on and on.
Not only is the list not getting any shorter but there are also companies who may hire developers just based on the terminologies they see on a resume. Join our member Carlos Luna in a basic overview of some of these frameworks and remove any mystery and confusion as to what
all of this means.
Web development concepts will include:
CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete)
MVC (Modern View Controller)
Basic Version Control and view a simple template solution in the following frameworks:
- MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js)
- ASP.NET Core MVC (C#, Visual Studio)
- LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySql, PHP)
- Django (Python)

My name is Carlos Luna, I have been working with tech and programming since 2015 -- mostly as a web developer.
I went to college for computer science and although it gave me the confidence I soon realized that the real world had its own unique challenges -- most things I learned in school seem to not apply so I had to still learn programming languages on my own and figure out how things were put together.
I love to learning about the history of computing (to see how we ended up here) as well as simplifying complex concepts into bite sized chunks of knowledge anybody can understand. So I hope you join me in reviewing the wonderful world of website building!
