About us
This group is for left-leaning progressives who want a welcoming place to socialize with like-minded people. While the group is primarily focused on building community and friendships, we may occasionally attend Democratic rallies and related events together.
Some of the events we may host include dinners, happy hours, beach gatherings, game nights, outdoor activities, book club meetings, cultural events, movie nights, day trips, and rallies. The goal is to create a comfortable, respectful space where members can connect, share ideas, and enjoy each other’s company.
Group rules and membership guideline:
• To help us recognize you at events, please use a clear profile picture. Photos with large hats, sunglasses, or other coverings that obscure your face are not allowed.
• This group is not intended for business networking.
• If you RSVP to an event but cannot attend, please cancel at least 24 hours in advance.
• Failure to update your RSVP in time may result in being marked as a “no show.”
• Three no-shows may result in removal from the group.
• Loud or belligerent behavior is not permitted.
• Please be courteous and respectful to other members and to any waitstaff at the venues where we gather.
• Make sure your notifications are turned on in the Meetup app so you don’t miss any communications from the group.
• Membership dues are $10 per year, which helps cover the cost of maintaining the group on Meetup.
