No Shelf Control Book Club

Welcome, we can’t wait for you to join us! This is a low-commitment reading group for busy book lovers. We meet monthly to discuss a chosen book over a meal. No pressure, just fun conversation, new friends, and great stories. We do ask that if you must cancel, please do so at least 24 hours in advance as there is a reservation in place. This allows another member to attend if you cannot, and just plain courteous.

This meeting we will be discussing the book The Briar Club by Kate Quinn. This is a 1950's historical fiction and mystery novel. set in a down-at the heels Washington D.C. boardinghouse, it follows a diverse group of women hiding secrets during the Red Scare, whose lives are disrupted by a sudden act of violence.

We are going to be able to try the brunch at The Hangout, which is supposed to be fantastic! Can't wait to hear how you feel about the book.
