At this month’s meeting, a seasoned real estate attorney will break down what actually works when it comes to asset protection for investors. We’ll cut through the myths, internet “guru” advice, and boilerplate LLC setups to show you where real risk really lives—and how to structure around it before a problem arises.

Jennifer is a highly skilled Florida Bar Board-Certified Real Estate Lawyer with experience in complex commercial real estate transactions, land use, and commercial leasing. Her areas of practice include real estate acquisitions and dispositions, entitlements, commercial financing, public-private partnerships, and commercial lease agreements.
After Hurricane Ian, Jennifer worked closely with clients pursuing Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funding for affordable housing and public facility projects. Through her expertise in contract negotiations, she strives to identify and align the goals of all parties involved, proactively addressing potential challenges before they become significant issues.
Jennifer also takes pride in her community involvement. She serves as Chair of the Board for Southwest Florida GWI Housing, Inc., which provides housing and services to the elderly and permanently disabled. Additionally, she is the Secretary of the Board of Governors for the Real Estate Investment Society (REIS), serves on the board of the Pine Manor Improvement Association, and is a member of the City of Fort Myer Local Affordable Housing Advisory Committee.
An advocate for professional development, Jennifer helped create the Advanced Real Property Certification Academy, which prepares attorneys for the Florida Bar Real Estate Board Certification Exam. She has also contributed to various task forces for the Lee County School District.
Originally from the mountain town of Red River, New Mexico, Jennifer relocated to Fort Myers in 2005 after graduating magna cum laude from Biola University in Los Angeles. She went on to earn her law degree from Ave Maria School of Law in Naples, FL, where she graduated at the top of her class with a full tuition scholarship. Jennifer, along with her husband, Josh, and their three children, enjoy being active members of the Southwest Florida community and are passionate about building a better future for generations to come.
