Casual Board and Card Games

Come and join us at the NW Library on Chiquita in the Cape on Tuesdays from about 5:30-7:30pm. I will be sitting at tables towards the back after you come through the entrance. I will be wearing a baseball hat and will have a small stack of games on the table that I bring with me as well as a large black bag of games. If you have been watching the group and thinking of joining, just stop by and play a game! The group has so far been pretty small between 2-6 people. I bring several games with me every week, and we are also open to trying new games if you have any you would like to bring. So far we mostly have been playing quicker games that are easy to learn, but have also been introducing some medium weight games recently too. The group is fun, not overly-competitive, but we do enjoy some fun trash talk too. Some of the games that stay in bag every week are Sequence, Sequence Dice, Blokus, Kings in the Corner, River Valley Glassworks, Wits & Wagers, No Thanks, Qwixx, Yamslam, Code Names, and Strike Dice. Besides those goes I usually also bring 3-4 additional games that change weekly some of those games include Hues & Clues, Azul, Labyrinth, Wonka Golden Ticket, Trekking the World, New York Slice, Otrio, Quacks, Survive the Island, and many more. Others have also brought games like Splendor, Wandering Towers, Harmonies, Abducktion, Crokinole, and others that we have played in the past. I will be there from about 5:15pm, and the library closes at 8:00pm on Tuesday nights. Feel free to come anytime, and don't feel obligated to stay until 8:00pm. Because these games don't usually take that long to play, you will be able to join in even if you arrive later. I'm a 46-year-old male, but the group is open to any age and gender and aims to be a non-judgmental safe space for everyone. I hope to see you there!
