Casual Board and Card Games

Come and join us at the NW Library on Chiquita in the Cape on Tuesdays from about 5:00-7:30pm (usually a couple of us are there at 4pm). I will be sitting at tables towards the back after you come through the entrance. I will be wearing a baseball hat and will have a small stack of games on the table that I bring with me as well as a large black bag of games. This group is about going for a little over a year now and has evolved from very simple games to more strategic euro style games. The group is usually between 4-8 people and we usually try and play at least 1 game as a single group, but then can easily split into smaller groups. I bring several games with me every week, and we are also open to trying new games if you have any you would like to bring. So far we mostly have been playing quicker games that are easy to learn, but have also been introducing some medium weight games recently too. I usually bring about 10 or so games with me that change weekly. Some of those games include Imhotep, Kingdomino, Marvel Splendor, Harmonies, Alhambra, Sushi Go Spin Some Dim Sum, Space Base, Hues & Clues, Azul, Labyrinth, Wonka Golden Ticket, Trekking the World, New York Slice, Dixit, Quacks, Survive the Island, 7 Wonders, beat the heat, no thanks, ticket to ride, tiny towns, can't stop, and many more. Others have also brought games like, Wandering Towers, Abducktion, Crokinole, and others that we have played in the past. The library closes promptly at 8:00pm on Tuesday nights. Feel free to come anytime, and don't feel obligated to stay until 8:00pm. Because these games don't usually take that long to play, you will be able to join in even if you arrive later. I'm a 46-year-old male, but the group is open to any age and gender and aims to be a non-judgmental safe space for everyone. I hope to see you there!
