Live Music: Canute's Plastic Army

Details
Canute's Plastic Army is a mainly acoustic duo consisting of the soaring, passionate vocals of Anish Harrison and intricate, dynamic guitar playing of Neil Mercer. Ranging from sparse, whisper quiet picked acoustic to loop layered guitar and vocals, they have probably been most accurately described as goth folk.
Their first EP, Building Walls, was released in summer 2017 on Secret Chord records. Since then they have been commissioned to write for the Lost Words project and the folklore podcast and continue to record and release new material.
Support from the brilliant singer songwriter David Corrigan. These days, David is a reasonably reclusive singer/songwriter who has been most recently found fronting local biscuit-loving troubadours, The Astral Ponies. Armed with a faithful, if slightly battered, acoustic guitar, you can expect stripped-down versions of some Pony classics, the usual country-tinged laments, and dusty old folk. Rumours abound that he might even throw in some new material.
Live Music from 8.30pm. Entry Free but do bring cash for the artists tip-jar.
