Swing Music Dance Course

Dance is music!

Learning to listen to music and understanding how to play with it is the most fun and fundamental skill for a dancer that is looking to level up. So get ready for a transformation 😃

What to expect: We will work with various music structures, discover what separates swing from other styles, derive inspiration from the greats (Duke Ellington, Fats Waller, Jelly Roll Morton and many many more), work on furthering our rhythm skills and play with how those various elements makes us a lot better dancers!

Level: It is useful for you to have taken some swing dance classes as we will be using also movement during the classes. This course is specially good for dancers that feel stuck in their dancing or want to improvise more freely in their dancing.

Ps. This course is from a dancers perspective! The musicians view on the topics may differ slightly, but mainly in terminology 🙂

When: 10 Sundays at 12 to 13h, starting as of 14th of September
