Welcome to Swing Your Partner Contra Dance Social. We are a community of dancers who love the simple, high-energy joy of contra dancing. Whether you have been dancing for years or have never stepped foot on a dance floor, you are welcome here. We focus on keeping things friendly and accessible, ensuring that everyone feels comfortable and ready to move by the time the band starts playing.
We host regular dances where the steps are taught on the spot, so there is no pressure to know anything ahead of time. You do not need to bring a partner, as we move through the lines and dance with everyone in the room throughout the evening. If you are looking for a fun way to get some exercise, meet friendly neighbors, and enjoy some live music, we would love to have you join us at our next dance.
