The Real Deal - an introduction to Islamic Finance

Swiss Muslim Events are pleased to share details of an upcoming seminar organised by the Association of Muslim Professionals in Switzerland on the theme of Islamic Finance & Investing.

The guest speaker for this event is Umer Suleman, the Global Head of Risk at Wahed Invest (https://www.wahed.com/).

Umer draws on a long history of working in the financial services sector and has lectured widely on topics related to Islam and finance.
In this workshop he will discuss among other topics:

• is it better to save or to invest?
• the different types of financial transactions
• the philosophy and principles of Islamic finance
• how to apply these principles to investment products to determine which are halal to invest in and which not
