Cook your Startup: Business innovation through open collaboration

"Cook your Startup" : is a half day training on how open innovation can make your startup a success story.

What does open innovation mean exactly? It is a term defined by Henry Chesbrough, a professor and executive director at the Center for Open Innovation at the University of California, Berkeley.

It is a paradigm that assumes that firms can and should use external ideas in their strategy through crowd-sourcing. No matter what your project is about, you will always have to deal with an ecosystem of actors, that can profoundly affect the outcome of your efforts.

Customers, beneficiaries, partners, friends, mentors, suppliers, and the other stakeholders that are key to help you building a product or service that people might want to use. We will teach you how to collaborate with these actors and work together with them in the most effective way, in order to make your activity more sustainable. To make it bullet proof. The end result is a dynamic crowdsourcing session to help you structure your ideas in a clear way, and validate your key assumptions through open feedback. The two mentors will facilitate participation and collaboration during the entire event, while offering their expertise to help you saving weeks in the development of your startup.

You will leave this workshop with a good understanding of how to exploit open-source collaboration to your benefit, a refined business strategy and a schedule of short-term actions to validate your ideas. The event will be in English and has a limited number of 40 participants.
