Talk Description:

Swisscom AI Research: how applied research helps us shape our future products - Natalie Bolon Brun
As the telecommunications industry becomes increasingly data-driven, research around this topic is becoming more critical than ever for companies looking to stay ahead of the curve and deliver better customer experiences. In this talk you will discover how we identify research projects that align with our business goals, and how we collaborate with academic institutions and other research organisations to tackle complex problems. We will also share examples of how our research has led to new products, services, and solutions that have benefitted our customers and employees.

Multi-objective recommenders and explainability: from research to product - Ahmed Kooli
Join us to explore the world of applied research and discover how our product recommender evolved from a research project into a fully productive system. You will hear about our journey from researching multi-objective recommenders and deep learning explainability to creating a product recommender that our agents use to better guide our clients. We'll share the challenges and victories we encountered and lessons we learned along the way.
