The Beacon Island lighthouse off the shore of Folly Point, Massachusetts, ceased to cast its light over the region’s dangerous rocky waters about 15 minutes ago.
As a result, the SS Essex County on which you are all traveling to Rockport, has foundered on the rocks.

The ship is sinking.

You see yourself pushed into one of the many small rowboats acting as the ship's lifeboats along with other passengers.

Your best bet is to aim for Beacon Island. - You are told, then they shove you off into the dark churning waters...

What to expect from this game:

Call of Cthulhu is a horror tabletop RPG based on H.P. Lovecraft’s mythos, where players take on the roles of investigators uncovering cosmic horrors, cults, and ancient secrets. Set primarily in the 1920s, the game focuses on mystery, survival, and psychological tension rather than combat. Using a percentile-based system, players rely on research, deduction, and careful decision-making to survive—because in Call of Cthulhu, knowledge itself can be deadly.

• What to expect
This game is a one-shot intended for beginner and experienced players. We will play the adventure over several hours all the way to its conclusion.

We will be using pregenerated characters, presented on the day of the event in person.
