Freitext zu SQL: psql-chat als natürlich-sprachliche SELECT-Erweiterung
RedHat Schweiz, Europaallee 41, Zürich, CHDie in psql integrierte Chat-Applikation "psql-chat" ermöglicht es Nutzern, der verbundenen PostgreSQL-Datenbank Fragen in natürlicher Sprache zu stellen. Die Fragen können sich sowohl auf Daten als auch auf psql-Befehle beziehen (Natural Language to SQL). Anschliessend schlägt der Chatbot eine Antwort vor, die typischerweise eine SQL-Abfrage oder ein psql-Befehl ist. Diese Anweisungen kann der Nutzer dann wenn gewünscht direkt ausführen lassen. Es ist auch möglich, sich eine SQL-Abfrage in natürlicher Sprache erklären zu lassen. Dadurch können Experten SQL-Abfragen schneller zusammenstellen und allen werden interaktive Datenanalysen ohne tiefgreifende SQL-Kenntnisse ermöglicht. psql-chat ist ein auf Deutsch und Englisch getesteter Open-Source-Softwareprototyp in Python. Sicherheit und Datenschutz werden durch eigene LLM-Umgebungen gewährleistet (llmhub.infs.ai hostet by IFS OST).
Die Vortrag wird on-site, mit der zusätzlichen Möglichkeit zur Onlineteilnahme per Videostream durchgeführt. Für die Teilnehmer vor Ort werden wir im Anschluss in Laufdistanz einen Apero anbieten, bei dem die Möglichkeit für vertiefte Diskussionen mit den Referenten und Teilnehmenden besteht.

CERN PGDay 2026
CERN, Espl. des Particules 1, Meyrin, CHCERN PGDay brings together PostgreSQL users and enthusiasts from across Suisse Romande and beyond for a day of talks, ideas, and exchange at CERN. Co-organized by CERN and SwissPUG, it’s a great opportunity to connect with the community and experience the unique atmosphere of CERN.
After a successful first edition in 2025, CERN PGDay returns in 2026 as a regular gathering for PostgreSQL users and enthusiasts in Suisse Romande (western Switzerland). Co-organized by CERN and SwissPUG, the event offers a chance to connect, share ideas, and exchange experiences in the vibrant Geneva region — home to many international organisations across the public, private, and scientific sectors.
The 2026 edition will take place on Friday, February 6th, starting at 10:00. The programme features a single track of six sessions, all held in English, followed by a social event to continue discussions and networking in the inspiring setting of CERN. We expect to publish the schedule mid December.
The Call for Papers is open until 7 December 2025. We are keen to get your proposals.
Registration is already possible and closes on 1 February 2026. Have a look at your schedule before or after the event: you might be able to take advantage of the conference to visit CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research!
