Water Trail Description:

Leg 1 (3.2 miles): The downstream segment from the county park to Coloma is considered Beginner friendly at normal water levels. Again, rudimentary maneuvering skills are necessary.

Leg 2 (5.2 miles): The next access downstream Bundy Road. At normal water levels, that segment is considered Intermediate in terms of level of skill and a short portage may be required. However, at extreme low water levels, there may be exposed logs which have to be carried over and Advanced maneuvering skills are recommended. DO NOT start this trip late in the day or you run the very real risk of losing your way in the dark in the false channels near Bundy Road.

Leg 3 (2.5 miles): The next access downstream is Riverside Kayak Park (Coloma Road). It is considered Beginner to Intermediate level, depending on the water level. Basic maneuvering skills are required to follow the paddle pathway through downed trees.

Note: Restrooms are only at the start and finish. There are none along the way.

Arclight Brewing Company in Watervliet has a food truck if anyone is interested after the paddle for drinks and eats.

I hope to see you there.

Kevin
