Bailey Saddle Museum
Details
With over four hundred antique western saddles, antique cars, and Old West items, this one will be different for us and should be very interesting.
After we spend two or three hours photographing, we will go to lunch. There is a Mexican/burger (the only option) restaurant in Simla or weather permitting, we could take our lunches and have a picnic.
Lighting - I asked about lighting. He said there are only a few windows, but he has some workshop lights that he can bring into the museum. He can aim them any way we want. He also offered to move a saddle for better light if we want.
Lenses - I plan to take my macro lens, but will also have my 24-240. Based on the photos on his website, a 24-70 should work well.
Cost - They do not charge, but if you wish to make a donation that would be nice.
Getting there - It's a bit of a drive to get there, so you may consider carpooling. I can take three people in my RAV and can meet others at the park and ride near 470 and I-25. For those on the north side of the Denver metro, it might be easier for you to go east on I-70. We would need to meet there at 8:15.
If you can drive or need a ride, post in the comments.
