Sports and Olympic Photography

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Jeff Cable just returned from Milan where he photographed his 9th Olympic Games For Team USA. He is going to be sharing his images and stories from the Olympics with us. He will talk about how he captures the historic event and pushed himself to create really creative images at the same time.

SPEAKER BIOGRAPHY
Jeff Cable started his professional photography career photographing events in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2004 and has gone on to cover the last 9 Olympic Games for Team USA. For more than 25 years, Cable served as a marketing executive at companies like Symantec, Magellan, and Micron. But while traveling the world for his corporate job, his interest and passion for photography grew quickly, and his photography business grew even faster. He left the corporate world in 2016 to dedicate himself full-time to his photography. He has earned respect around the globe for his creative images and for sharing his love of photography with others. He's best known for capturing photos for the US Olympic Committee, photographing the last eight Olympic games, in Beijing, Vancouver, London, Sochi, Rio de Janeiro, PyeongChang, Tokyo, Paris and Milan. In 2025, Jeff was awarded a World Sports Photography award for one of the best images of the year.
