SydAR Online Meetup #1 — "Spatial Computing"

Our first meetup shall be virtual! There's so much to share and talk about including:

• the Apple Vision Pro (of course)
• transparent displays
• new holographic displays
• AR framework updates
• Unity's Polyspatial SDK
• ... and so much more to kick off 2024!
• We'll also discuss the SydAR meetup in general, intro ourselves and what we're excited about in AR in 2024.

I'm keen to know more about all of you — what your interests within AR are, what sorts of content and info we can bring you, and the sorts of events you'd like us to organise.

I've been a bit delayed in running our first meetup as I've ended up getting surgery (don't worry, I'm ok!), but I don't want it to mean we don't get to have an event! So our first few meetups are likely going to be virtual until I can be up and about, then we'll organise a venue to do this in person!

For our first meetup — we'll share the floor as I'll get everyone to intro themselves, then I'll give a general talk about latest AR news and what I'm excited about for the year!

In terms of a day and time — our first virtual session will be on Wednesday 24th Jan at 6:30pm Sydney time. I know there's often a lot of other meetups around, so let me know if that conflicts with any other meetups you regularly attend!
